Question about Televison & Video
Natura Hitachi 36in widescreen TV, no longer switches on, changed fuse & plug, still nothing. Has a dry electrical type smell so not sure if something has cooked!
The unit was switched off but still connected to the mains when this occurred?
Any ideas??? (if it was a PC I would guess it was a power pack)
Check the flyback transformer for cause of the odor . If it is a cap look for a cap that is buldging at the top of it . The flyback is the transformer with the red lead going to the picture tube . You might see it is cracked or a tiny hole in it . Good luck
