    thanks

It's only one memory card with 256 mb, the system does not show anything, no beep, no video, no recognize keyboard. So, do I need to get another memory for testing?

  • charliecol60 Mar 04, 2008

I have take off and putting on several times and even doesn't work. do you think, I'd have to get another video card and test with it?

Normally when this problem occurs is due memory, video card, processor, etc, or all before items?

    Thanks

Why does the BD7 board fail to POST with sirens? Is the mainboard faulty? A:

  1. If the CPU retention unit or heat sink wasn't installed correctly, the bad heat dissipation will cause P4 CPU over temperature and fail to boot up.

  2. Please check the black CPU retention is fully inserted into the holes in the mainboard. Below picture illustrates a bad installation- there is a gap between retention unit and mainboard.

  3. Please make sure the white nails were fully inserted and can prevent CPU retention unit from loosen.

Increase graphics from 96 to 128

If you have insralled the correct video driver and you cannot increase the VIDEO RAM then it is not possible to increase the bit color from 96 bit to 126 or 256 bit color.
The only way to have a higher bit color is to install a new graphics card that supports up to 256 bit color (this video card will have large cideo RAM).

Why my mouse and keyboard hangup when i attach my flash

It sounds like you could be low on memory or your processor is working super hard.

To fix this, first, check and see how much ram you have by right clicking on "My Computer", then click "Properties". Your processor speed and ram will be shown in the window. If you have less than 256 MB of RAM, or a processor less than 1.2 GHz, then you might need to upgrade your processor or RAM.
