Go back to the SETUP menu and find the print receipt confirmation and select "print" or the positive equivalent offered on your machine . There is a function to view transmission results without printing, in the machine. this is a link to one of the manuals for this machine. It contains over 200 pages. I do not recommend printing but download and viewing on your screen. https://www.manualowl.com/m/Canon/MF4270/Manual/39328
In setting mode , Go to report setting and inside that go to Tx report or transmission report ,or sent report or like the same (depends on brand and model).then set it on and then every time you sent a fax, a report will be print to show confirmation or any error.
pls try to clear you model no. and brand name whenever you would like to ask question.
You have sent a fax? Or you have received a fax. If you have sent it, it's gone and can't be printed. If you have received it, then you obviously have to put legal paper in the tray, and program the paper size in your system settings to tell the machine it is Legal paper in the tray. However, once again, if it has already printed the fax (likely on 2 pages) then it's gone from memory and can't be re-printed.
open both one-touch speed dialing panels--press DATA REGISTRATION >set> press search buttons to display REPORT SETTING >set> search to OUTPUT YES (This will print a report with every transmission, next option will give you the option of whether to print the first page of the document (yes) to remind you of what it contains)
I am not technically qualified for faxes but most fax machines i have used have a setting that allows you to have a receipt that prints off after you have sent one, this is something that can be turned off if not wanted, look in the manual and it will tell you how to reset it, i think it was called "polling" after a fax has been sent it prints off this little bit that says what time it was sent how many copies and time received, fax number it was sent to and sometimes company name etc
some machines i have seen and used have a poll button after you have sent your fax, try just pressing it, it may print out a conformation receipt of the last ten faxes sent
hope i have helped, if so rate me please
