Question about Brother DCP-7020 All-In-One Laser Printer
My suggestion is to take the printer to the highest floor in your building open a window and see if it can fly. or just use it as a $200 paper weight because after 3 months it has been to the shop 3 times and still is not working they way it should. Bad equipment bad support, and just plain bad product all around.

I didn't find any paper shreds in the machine. I did change to Hammermill brand paper and the copier is working fine. Thanks for the information.

Paper jams are usually caused by small pieces of paper tearing off and getting stuck somewhere in the paper path, especially if is crumpling like an accordian. There are small 'flags' in various places in the machine for detecting jams and whether the paper has exited the machine, etc. Those can be damaged by people trying to dig out jammed paper with sharp objects. Warn rollers and seperation pads will also cause jams. Look thoroughly with a flashlight and a small mirror is required sometimes. Try to determine where exactly the jam is occuring.

It appears that after extensive use, the roller in the toner cartridge starts to bind and drag. This, in turn, prevents the paper from passing through the toner and the paper accordians into the toner. The only solution is buying a new toner cartridge. This printer is not designed for heavy use.

My printer is jamming after it prints, but before it makes it out to the tray it crumples up like an accordian. Any suggestions?
CUAL SERI EL PROBLEMA CUANDO PASA LA HOJA Y SE ATORA Y PARECE SER QUE SE CALIENTA DEMASIADO POR QUE SALE ARRUGADA LA HOJA Y MUY CALIENTE BUENO SALE ONDULADA
Printer jams every other paper/document. Cleaned the rollers to no avail. All the gears are clean and no sign of deterioration. Need help.
It will accept paper thru the single sheet feed and copy fine but paper loaded from the tray does not make it to the upper roller to be pulled thru the rest of the way.
I have cleaned the paper take-up roller but no help.
There doesn't appear to be anything stuck or jammed in the path.
It just seems that the paper take-up roller isn't getting the paper all the way to the secondary roller so the process stalls as the secondary roller spins for a few seconds and I get a "Paper Jam" fault.
It appears that the paper take-up roller is bad but I haven't finished using the initial sample toner cartridge yet.
That is pretty sad for a product from Brother.
