If this light is on a dimmer, that may be causing the humming. Try a higher quality light buld or one that is rated 130volts.

How do I oil my Hunter fan?

You don't. There's no place to oil ANY ceiling fan, not just the Hunter line. All ceiling fans use sealed ball bearings in the motors. They are lubricated for life. If you're experiencing a squealing noise, it would be best to take it down, pack if up and take it back where you bought it. No ceiling fan should squeal, let alone one as expensive as a Hunter.

There is a small relay in the ceiling fan causing this noise, try turning off all power to the ceiling fan and allow it to set for a couple of minutes. Turn it back on and see if it goes away. If it does great. if not, it may not be worth the repair cost but it can be fix by an appliance tech.

HUNTER CEILING FAN SOUND LIKE THERE ARE BALL BEARINGS ROLLING

The type noise is crucial in knowing the problem. Is it an electrical humming sound. To find out, place it at high speed, then turn off the power. did it go away or is it still there. If it isn't the electrical, it may be the bearings. The older types have an oil reservoir that needs lubricating. the newer ones are sealed bearings. try a little WD40. make sure you keep this lubricant away from the electrical components, because it has a reaction to certain plastics
