The Samsung Glide was marketed for Verizon (which is a CDMA Network). As such this phone doesn't have any GSM frequencies programmed in it. Therefore, it can never be flashed for GSM networks. It is, and always will be a CDMA phone.

you have to upgrade your software and go to your nearest samsung center for an acredited technician to help you and do the upgrading for you.

I did this on my SCH-u740

1. Dial: #43574357*
2. Select "System Info"
3. Look for SID (There should be a number beside it)
4. Use the last four digits of the SID number as your lock code.

The common codes I know are a series, such as 1234, or a combo, like 0000.

Samsung has produced some defective phones.  I have had the same problem before. If your warentee is still active, you can bring your GLYDE into a VZW store and they will give you a new one for free. they will also transfer your contacts.
