Have you tried turning it on while hooked to ac power? Some have power saver settings that reduce the light settings. The screen may be getting old, and need a higher light setting now. Usually plugging into ac power kills the power saving features.

Cant remember pass word i pod dissabled

You will need to do a 'Hard reset' ! Apples manufacturer site does have some guidelines on this but this is how the the procedure goes for the ipod touch:

- While plugged into ITunes, Hold down the power and home keys down for 10+ seconds. - - Screen will go black
- Release the power button but keep holding the home key until itunes says 'We have detected an itouch in recovery mode'
- Restore as normal via iTunes

Hope it helps!

I cant see the words nmy hp appe ipod screen!

I have had this problem recently myself and would like you to know that it is possible to fix. The white screen error or otherwise known as "white screen of death" is caused by the lcd color screen on the ipod itself. That is why its functions still work but the screen does not. Once you replace the color screen it will be as good as new.

My ipod nano old version screen turns on but you cant see the words

This could be the screen going out, as they seem to do a lot, or a power saving feature. If it is the screen going out, you can get them on ebay fairly cheap and they are pretty simple to replace. If it is a power saver setting, try hooking up to ac power, this usually turns off most power saver features. Then you can go in and change the power saver features.

Help!

Well, i'm having problems with my Sansa c140 also, but with this problem I think I can help, hook your mp3 player into your computer, than delete all the songs, and simply put them all back on, and if that doesn't work, than repost.
