Question about SanDisk Sansa m240 MP3 Player

The player has 2 modes. MTP and MSC or something like that. Check the menus on the device and set it to the other one.
MSC is what worked for mine

Got this player from buy.com refurbished
Couldn't get it to work, then.... playing with the Menu under USB
switched from auto MTP to MSC and now it shows up in XP
just drag and drop your music and you're good to go!

You shouldn't need an installation disk for the M240 just connect to pc via usb port and transfer files using Windows Media Player. OR go to MY COMPUTER and you should see the player listed as M240 open and drag and drop music files.
