Question about GE JE1590 Convection / Microwave Oven
Here is info from another person having that problem on fixya.
I had to go down to an appliance parts shop in PHX to get the lamp after I had taken the microwave out of the corner cabinet and disassembled it. Found the light bulb toward the right front top corner after taking the frame all apart. It was a pain but it's done !! BTW, I'm a female licensed electrician and GE told me over the phone that I would have to call a service tech to come replace the lamp (about $200). I searched the websites for the part number to get the lamp (it wasn't printed on the lampbase), searched for local appliance part stores and found the part number (WB36X10131) to pick it up. The "cavity" lamp cost me $8.65 then the cost of the gas (about 40 miles) to get it but my micro was back up and running before Thanksgiving dinner --just in time to make Lean Cuisine !!! HAHA Thanks for your reply Guru !! Have a great weekend !! Julie
