What model is your Inovix? I'll try to help you find the info, but our luck is cut out for us, all Inovix company sites are down. This leads me to believe that have, or will be out of business soon. However, in general with these players they come with a proprietary cord that connects to a usb connection on your computer. Also, there should have been a disk with it that had the software for connecting to and uploaing to you player.

I dont know how to down load music on my polaroid

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Look how this guy has done it.

Connect your MP3 player via USB and just drag the mp3 files from the folder on your computer to your player. Voila!

If you need more help, come back here and let me know.

Enjoy!

Hi Charlie.

I'm on my third IMP-1112 - they are clearly temperamental products!

I'm not familiar with your specific problem (mine were to do with it not being recognised by the computer, causing the computer to crash, not charging, etc.), but I have found that re-loading the firmware can often sort out its glitches.

Did you get a disc with the machine? You should have. Just follow the instructions to the letter. This will wipe any files on the player, so you'll need to reload them too.

I use Windows Media Player to load my MP3s onto it, after using WMP to rip them from my CDs. It has worked very smoothly for me - use 'Shuffle' to REPLACE the existing songs, or 'Sych' to just add.

When I plug my player into the USB port, I can open and move around the files just like on any other drive or storage medium.

So, try a Firmware reload first.

iTune format will not play in a MP3 Player, you must first convert them to MP3 format.
