Question about Hotpoint WMA76 Front Load Washer

Program starts, then after a couple of minutes it stops and display says 'On'

Have tried turning power on/off, and have restarted 3 times but it never gets past about 2 minutes before stopping altogether. The display then just says 'On'. It will let me open door, although clothes wet it is not full of water. Machine is 3.5 yrs old.

Thanks

Thanks for reply - forgot to look back on here as in the end my boyfriend took the top off the machine, then reconnected the circuit board etc and all is fine again. We think that in the years we have had it the vibrating had made something come loose behind the digital display. So, all in all if you have this problem, save yourself lots of money for call out/repair by getting someone handy with a screwdriver to do the above! Thanks

Its hard to say what your problem is without more information.
If you had a lot of vibration and water from a broken hose, you may have shorted one of the sensing units or main board.

Try to clear the program by disconnecting power and holding down the start key for a few seconds. Similar to Clearing the CMOS on a desktop computer.
Hope this helps

Electrolux EDC77550 drum dryer starts normally but stop after running couple of minutes.

If motor runs continuously with power applied, check for short circuit across motor relay (RL2), or L1 applied to motor relay output (J3-1) with cycle stopped. If motor does not start when Start key is pressed, check for open circuit between L1 and motor relay connection (J3-2). If no wiring problems found, replace Main Control Board.

After i turn the PS3 on, the menu never pops up. I've tried this a couple of times and have waited 10-15 minutes and still the menu wont pop up.

Power the system on wait 2-3 minutes then hold your hand on the power button (like you would to shut it off) but keep your finger on the power button until you hear the system beep at you twice. The system will reset to default settings (It may or may not restart depending on the model of ps3 you have, if it doesnt restart, you have to turn it on by yourself) good luck

Usually you press Start 3 times to turn the child lock on, and press Stop/Reset 3 times to turn it off.

If that doesn't work, you can probably unplug it for a couple of minutes, then reset the clock.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
