Fax Hi there, I am experiencing problems with the fax function of this machine...I can fax out something fine, but if i receive a fax it will spit out a blank page, and will spit out a blank page if i request a trxn report. I thought it may be the cartridge, but i can print from the computer and make a photocopy... you can respond to [email protected]. Thank you

Hi; its a problem of speed Tx and Rx config your coputer speed at the same speed of the fax. the fax use the mode ECM for Tx and Rx

Probably not. You can change that setting in the user modes in menu/function and set it to 99 minutes. HAve you tried another drum unit? Your charge corona wire in the drum unit maybe broken!

I don't believe there is anything wrong with your fax machine. I think the receiving party may have a DIGITAL phone line.

If you can make a full copy with your machine then, your machine is OK.

I'm not sure if I can help you or not, but I do have a suggestion or 2, that may help isolate the problem.
The solution I gave you initially, is the usual culprit for the situation you are experiencing. If the machine can "send", then "receiving" is not normally a problem, as long as the reception settings are correct. You said that "sending works fine"?
Since you have multiple faxes, you might try swapping the locations, or at least try the Samsung in a known working environment, to see if it behaves the same. If it works on another line, then try the other fax on the "Samsung" line.
That's all I have to suggest right now, but I'd be anxious to hear if there is any change.

The receiving fax machine is turned off or not functioning. Try calling your cell phone.

Do you have a DSL phone line?

Sounds like its a problem in the other end, if the machine can send and receviving faxes.

Check your phone lines from the wall to fax and ask the sender to do the same.

More than likely (since the problem is with sending and copying only) the mirrors inside the fax machine need cleaning. However, depending on what type of fax machine this is, this could be a pretty involved job. If you are pretty comfortable with taking covers off, you might try it, but if its a pretty expensive fax machine, I would call a professional.

Set the fax function to answer the phone automatically by pressing the auto answer mode button on front panel .

When you say all other printing processes are ok, I am assuming you can make copies and print from the computer. If so...then are the blank faxes coming from several different fax machines or are they coming from one particular fax machine. If one particular fax machine, then the problem is probably on their end. I need to go backwards a second....when you receive a fax does the machine spit out a blank page or no paper is fed at all..it just receives the fax? Is the machine programmed to just receive faxes to memory to be printed out later? It doesn't make sense for it to print or copy but not to print a fax. If problem persist try a different fax modem.

You have a problem in your Scanner Unit.Try to change New Paper Separator so that when you send out it will not be shrunk again.
