Question about RIM Blackberry 8700c Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard PSI8797
The other day, my 8700c Blackberry kept asking me if I wanted to connect to my car. I was going to say no, but that's when I accidentally pressed something that locked it out.
I can remember seeing a pop up box that asked "Don't ask me this again...and it was "checked." After I pressed the trackwheel, now, it won't connect to my vehicle at all. I've even tried restoring my Blackberry to the "factory settings", and that has had no effect...it's still locked out.
What do I need to do to "un-check" that message in the pop up box I saw that said "Don't ask me this again" and get my bluetooth to once again work with my vehicle?
Thank you for your time, talent and advice. You can also email your response to: email@example.com.
The box you checked told your system not to try to connect to that device (your car) again. What you'll need to do is delete your Bluetooth connections, so it tries to reconnect to everything it detects again. There are two ways to do this.
The easy way, though I'm told it doesn't always work. Go to System Preferences > Bluetooth > Devices > Delete and delete the connections there.
The harder, but more sure to work way: Download this utility http://www.philmug.ph/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=4347&d=1151627695 and run it on your Blackberry. It should delete all your bluetooth connections.
This does mean you'll have to connect to all your bluetooth devices again, like you were setting them up the first time - but that's not really difficult or that time consuming.
Hope that helps. If you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask.
