Question about Coby MP-C7097 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Coby mpc7095 2gb player has lots of songs on it but PC won't pick them up

I've ripped and copies a bunch of songs onto my mp3 player, but when I plug it into my pc, it doesn't recognize the songs. I can't open the mp3 player in windows to explore and possibly move the songs into a different folder so a player can recognize it. Very annoying!

I changed the settings in system tools >USB settings to MCS mode and then you can access all lthe files on your coby player through your PC and move them into the appropriate folder. It seems all your music has to go into the music folder. The Coby player isn't the most user friendly and is buggy. If they fix the programming, it would be a good competitor to ipod.

Cant figure out how to use mp4 player,no manual.help?

This isn't the best manual I've ever seen, but here it is: http://http.vitalstreamcdn.com/cobyelectronics_vitalstream_com/manuals/MPC848_MN.pdf
You can also use Windows Media Player to transfer your songs onto the player. It is not compatible with iTunes, but you can use the Rip tab in Windows Media Player to rip songs from a CD - you have to go into the Rip Options and change the Rip format to Mp3 first. Coby does have a video on the process at:
http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=tutorial

You can also load mp3 files from a music service such as Limewire into your computer's "My Music" folder - Windows Media Player should automatically detect the songs, but it may take a few minutes.

Good luck!

You can either rip songs from CD's onto your computer then upload them onto your MP3 player otherwise there are also various websites you can also get for free or buy songs that are in the format of your player. you can visit the manufacturers website information, based upon the information you have left on here, to see suggestions or directions on how to.

Coby mp3 player problem

Write the songs to a CD (or a CDRW) first, then re-rip them to Windows Media Player/iTunes/whatever as mp3s, or unprotected WMAs.

Honestly it's easier to burn and re-rip than remove the copy protection. When you burn it to a CD, the DRM goes away, and you'll have a new file that actually plays on your player.
