Bought a Nintendo DS game cart from the states and it will not play on my UK spec DSi console. Is there anyway around this?

Unfortunately, the DS (Or DS Lite) system does not support game downloads. You will need a DSi, DSi XL, or Nintendo 3DS.

That is not right. Every Nintendo DS hardware, DS, DSi, DSi LL, they are all compatible with any game from any region. You can play games from anywhere in the world on your portable console.

There is a reigon lokc but nintendo wont tell you because they dont want you to try and mod it to bypass the lock.

Try cleaning the game, or seeing if other games work. If they do REPLACE.

you can play saved Roms without using the original game cartridge. Also you can load homebrew apps on it (Moonshell). With these apps you can transform your NDS into a multi-media player....(Movies,Mp3's, etc.). You will need some software to convert the movies to a format (dpg) to view them. I have a Nintendo lite, I would assume that all the flash carts would be similar for the Dsi. You might want to check the compatability of them with the Dsi.

The DSi blocks all flashcards that were released before it. Your card is one of those blocked cards, so you can't do much except return that and buy a DSi-compatible cart online. As for the region, the DSi hasn't been hacked yet so region changing isn't possible at the moment.

hate to tell you but from much feedback i beleive that the new dsi does not support r4 cart and those like it which i presume you have as that is what it sounds like, they will be bringing them out though but dont know wen and wil cost more money, hope that helped.

sounds like another new thing nintendo have done to screw us all up, i would suggest a dstt cart or r4 cart or summit but they dont support them eaither! either back to the shops 4 money back then buy in europe or wait until they bring thr dstt or r4 or n5 crt out which supports the dsi and go from there.
