Normal 0 If the mouse doesn't have a little door to open on the bottom, then try this.
Just behind the Left and Right keys where your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace the batteries.
Hope this helps. Bud

Suddenly can't type in keyboard. Desktop computer. Brand new batteries. Must fix soon. Help!

I would take the batteries back out and put them back in. You may have put the batteries in the wrong way. Another thing you can do is to unplug the dongle that came with the keyboard and mouse. You can wait a few seconds and plug it back in. The batteries you are installing may be bad. Try installing another set of alkaline batteries. Try rebooting your computer, see if that helps. Your wireless keyboard and mouse may be going out. You can find new wireless keyboards and mice at Walmart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Etc.

Cant put in battery on pink mouse

You did not mention which model you are using, but this is how you install a new battery in the V220 Cordless Optical Mouse.

Install the battery for your mouse by making sure the battery faces the correct direction as shown in the image below.

Battery Replacement Tips
* For best battery performance, always use quality alkaline batteries.
* When replacing the battery, make sure the replacement battery is new and is within the manufacturer's expiration date.

I have a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and i need to change the battery. I cant find any latch or button to open the mouse to put new batteries in it! I looked on the MS site and found nothi

There is actually no release button on my 5000. Between the white on-off button and the bluetooth synch button there is a finger notch. If you put your index finger in the notch (pointing toward the base of the mouse you can put your nail under the lip and the batter compartment opens right up. There is a horizontal slot in the battery cover - trying to pry that open does not work. The whole thing is well-cloaked but surprisingly easy when you figure it out!

Mouse won't work after battery change

Are the batteries in correctly are there any indicators lit ?.

If not take out the batteries and try new ones

Once the indicators have come to life switch off your PC and put it on again , it should find the mouse itself

If not go into Control Panel , Add New Hardware and make the PC do a search

At some point it may ask if you have a disk , if you have say yes and put it in the CD drive

It should Auto Install from there

I am unable to open the case of my Sitecom wireless optical mouse and install batteries

Try the mouse cover behind the Left & Right keys. Put a slight amount of pressure on the cover where your hand rests and slide to the rear. Some of the new mouse batteries are under that cover. Worth a try. Hope this helps. Bud

Dont know how to install batteries

There must be a simple little hatch or switch to slide or pop open a casing down, or maybe the part where you place your hand opens up. Just insert the batteries like you normally do.

This was one stupid question.

The battery is dead

what happens if you put the mouse on the charger and leave it there for 2-4 hours?

Does it recharge?

I supose you could replace the recharable battery yourself by opening the mouse and so on, but finding the right type of a battery for it might not be as easy as that. Id recommend takeing it to warranty repairs if it still has such.

Other options would be to buy a new mouse.
