above is a generic video that applies to almost all belt driven turntables including yours that will show how to install the belt and a few other things. the website shown in the video lists your belt under the "find my player" button on the left side of that site.

Wont spin

Hello Bella, This is a belt driven turntable. Most likely, your drive belt has fallen off. It may be too stretched to stay on. To check this, remove the rubber platter mat. There should be holes in the metal platter, which if you rotate it, you will see the belt and the motor pulley. Remove the metal platter by grasping the holes. It should lift off. When the platter is off, try to slip the belt over the inside flat part of the platter. It should be snug. If it just falls off, the belt needs to be replace. For more information or parts, please go to my website, AUDIOSERVICECLINIC.COM. You can contact me through the website, and we can take this issue further if need be.

Power is on--for my PX-E869U turntable but the motor pully that the belt wraps around does nut spin. I would guess the the motor is at fault. How much work is it too replace and where could I find a part#...

To test the motor just disconect the leads to it from the power supply. As these motors are normally under 12 volts connect a PP9 battery to it. It should spin. If it doesn't it's gone! If it does then the motor isn't getting any juice from the power supply.

Turntable will not spin

Sound to me like the belt has snapped on your turntable. To replace, lift the platter oof the table and check the inside of the platter. You will notice a second ring, or rim. the belt should be put on the outside of the second rim while the platter is still in your hands. Next, slide back the platter and look for the spindle running the platter through one of the big holes in the platter. Slip the belt onto the spindle and turn with your hand to make sure it runs freely. Hope this helpsmicmor100.jpg

My AIWA turntable (1989 but still in excellent

Please try and lift the turn table off the casing itself (wheel only) and check if it is belt driven, or by gears. If it is belt driven, the belt might be worn or streched, and needs to be replaced

The turntable will not start spinning on its own, I have to spin it to get it to start, and when it does start spinning the speed is too slow. Is it just the belt?

You will need to check your belt for wear. Lift felt on platter and check belt tension. It may need replacing. To replace, simply lift platter section of the unit, taking note of the belt position. replace and your problem will be solved

The drive belt on my Aiwa px-e860 turntable has come off. how do i put it back on

Lift felt on platter and and lift the platter section off the unit by putting your thumb and forefinger through the two large holes and pull upwards. There should not be any special routing for the belt and should go directly onto the spindle motor to your platter. Place the belt around the inside rim of the platter while it is still off the unit. Now replace the platter and move the platter around until you see the spindle motor through one of the holes. Use some tweezers to manouvre the belt onto the spindle motor. On some units you will have to lay the belt out inside the unit, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platter. Hope this helps

What size belt do I need?

There are zillions of belts out there. I hope you still have the broken one which will give you the profile of a new belt. Measure the diameter of the sub-platter under the platter. The belt you need well be a slight stretch fit. Then, with the platter back in place, slip the belt over the motor pulley making sure it is not twisted.
