Hi

could you try this please
turn on your laptop pressing the F9 key at the same time
this may take you into the factory settings options
BUT please remember to save any important files or photo's that you may of put
on your laptop as you will loose everything that you put onto it
as you have not got a cd drive you could save your stuff on a usb pen drive or a usb spare hard drive

hopefully this will help you

Format dell mini 10

Hi

Do you really need to format your laptop
have you thought about or tried a system restore back to when it was ok
or back to last good know configuration

factory restore is so very permanent and you will loose any thing and everything that
you may of put on there like files or photo's
Because it will take it back to as you ist bought it and it will take a ages to set it all up again
how you liked it

But perfect if that is what you want

so please do burn anything to disk using a exterior drive or at least send over to a pendrive
or spare exterior hard drive

and to restore back to factory settings i believe that when you hit the power start up key also hit the F8 key at the same time and it should take you into the factory restore manager

then follow the on screen directions

good luck

many thanks

My 400gb freecom external hardrive won,t uncompress my files. i have recently reset my laptop back to factory settings. i dont know if this the cause of the prob but all i was ok b4. can you help please?

Hi,
Have you tried moving the files onto your laptop and uncompressing them there?

Did you have Winrar (or any other copressing software) installed on the laptop before you went back to factory settings? Are the compressed files on the external drive in the .zip or .rar (or another) file format?
