    Dear Raju,



    Pl Note this is a new Hard disc. There is no response after connecting to USB. The same port works for other USB



    I want to know why this Hard disc does not respond

Each drive needs to be added in control panel, or My Computer, depending on what type. There are instructions for that, and if you provide the part number and maker, perhaps we'll be able to assist?

depending on your operating system this may vary in windows7 click start control panel you should see system security tab in that back up then windows will ask for a back up DESTINATION location you can select either dvd or another device or in XP click start all programs accessories system tools you should see back up after the back up finishes windows will tell you your computer back up was successfull also you could right click on the back up file select properties this will tell you how many GB were used

Plug it back in and try this. Right click my computer and click "Manage"
When the window opens select "Disc Management". In the bottom of the screen you will see all the Disk drives installed on you computer. Right click on your drive and select "Properties". When the window open click the "Tools" tab and finally Run the Error Checking Tool. It will scan and fix any issues with the disk. Cheers :)

I have just purchased a Seagate 500GB Desktop hard drive


There is software preloaded on the disk. If you have AutoPlay turned off in your system, it won't start automatically when you connect the drive. Just go to MyComputer and open the drive and you will find a setup file there to install the backup software (I think it's called Launch.exe).

I have 2 usb .In that one is not responding ( Conpany- My flash )


If u have warrenty, u will do directly otherwise u have to purchase one external USB Box which contains 4 other USB port Now u have 4 USB ports working fine.

One thing to remember is the some of the Simple drives requires the USB mini to conect to the drive and the TWO USB connects to be plugin to the computer.
