A typical symptom is you insert a disc in the player and after a while; the CD tray opens again with the message referring to no disc being in the system. This can be infuriating because you can see that there is a disc, however, the CD / DVD player cannot.
Every time the tray closes, the laser beam fires two long bursts of laser light, and the focusing platform moves up and down attempting to focus the beam. This is the time when it is looking for a disc. If the laser has failed, then it will not be able to detect a CD and therefore the error message appears.
I normally do two things when this happens. I normally clean the lens just in case there is dust on it obstructing the laser path. If cleaning the lens does not solve the problem then I make sure the laser is working. Second Problem can we with your CD. After some time the CD coating gets deteriorate due to atmosphere, this damages the coating of CD/DVD where data is stored..
I hope try Different CD in your player or clean the lens if the problem doesnt solve, use a CD cleaner to clean it...

Hello Check whether the inserted CD spins inside your unit or not. If it spins, and the set does not recogonize the disc, the laser pickup assembly has the trouble and should be replaced with same type and number. If it does not spins, the sled motor, the motor that spins the disc, is faulty and should be replaced. OK.
Check the disc you're using for scratches and dirt. If the disc is damaged it won't play properly, regardless of the CD player's ability to function. You can use a CD repair device like the "Disc Doctor" to repair the CD or purchase a new CD.

Insert a correctly-formatted, undamaged disc into your player. Listen to see if it begins to read the disc. If it continues to make no sound and gives you the same message, then the problem is probably that your disc is not spinning in the device.
Clean the lens while the DVD player is open. A dirty lens is most likely the cause of your no-disc error. The lens should be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.
The manual says "C13/Disc Error:
The system cannot read the discinformation correctly.mEject the MD once, then insert it again." It seems this error turns up when the system cannot read the disc properly, one reason for which is a dirty/dusty lens. Try a minidisc lens cleaner if you haven't already.
Failure of this laser is quite common giving a no disc message in the HiFi's display. A defective laser can also be responsible for an intermittent no disc message and general playability problems with CD discs. Part number Optima 7 / 7B Laser Assembly
