Question about Panasonic DX-2000 Plain Paper Laser Fax
The scanner/fax is connected to the network and is patched in fine. But im still getting the error message. What other things can i try? I've reset the RAM, checked all cables and replaced the network cable.
First off can you ping the printer?
Then make sure in your network settings you set the printer for a manual or static IP address so it is not changing on you.
Try turning off any firewalls you have on your computer or network. On a firewall, you can ping the printer but it will not sent print data. You can write the IP address through the firewall to allow printing.
Log onto your web browser and type in the IP with the firewall on and see if you can see the printer. Then shut off all firewalls and do the same thing.
Also see if the printer has an IP filter enabled, that will stop it from printing also.
