Depends on the app. it sounds like a corrupt driver/file, or virus. Run virus scan and malware scan with free spybot:
http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

Uninstall the driver or app. that crashes and reboot then reinstall it. Ditto for any others.

Why does my laptop switch off intermittently and then reboot.

There can be any number of reasons why this would happen.
  • Overheating. Slow performance and intermittent restarts can be caused by heat.
  • Corrupted operating system.
  • Faulty software
  • Hardware failure such as memory failures.
  • Incomplete or corrupted operating system update.
Just to mention a few! Take a look in the administrative log files to see if windows has managed to write an error before it failed. instructions are here;

Hi there, i can't install my updates for belkin Share wireless router, during the installation it keeps rebooting my computer...

What do you mean by installation? Are you trying to upgrade the firmware on your router and are you going through the Belkin Router Manager icon in your system tray (right-click/check for updates)?

Also if you already downloaded the firmware update, make sure you update from a directly connected computer and not over wireless.

As far as the rebooting goes, if that doesn't help then depending on your Operating System if it's windows, you can check the event viewer to see what error is being reported. Go to Start, click Run and type eventvwr.msc then press Enter. Under Applications or Applications and Service Logs, you should see a recent error for the application. That will lead us to why it's rebooting.

I am getting this message: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000005). click on ok to terminate the application, but when I click ok the screen goes black.

These are the steps that you need to take, and the instructions on how to do it:
1. Reboot into Safemode
2. Run a virus and spyware scanner
3. Defrag
4. Scandisk
5. Registry error repairing
6.Reboot into regular mode windows

Here is how to do it:
Reboot yor machine while holding the F8 key right as it boots back up. A menu will apear. Choose -->"start windows in safe mode with networking".
Windows will start in safe mode. Run an AVG virus scan, then run Defrag by exploring your computer, right click on C: drive, click PROPERTIES, then the TOOLS tab, click the "check now" button, and only checkmark the top box 'fix file system errors', then click ok, the computer will then tell you it will scan upon next reboot., Now click the DEFRAG NOW button. the choose defrag. After Defrag runs for about an hour and it is finished, restart the system. If is still won't run normally, go back into Safemode buy pressing F8 on reboot, then run a registry fixing program such as uniblue registrybooster, then reboot again. If it still won't run right, you may want to reinstall Windows and see if that works. If reinstalling windows doesn't fix it, it may be a hardware problem.
PRINT THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND KEEP A COPY NEAR YOUR SYSTEM FOR FUTURE PROBLEMS. THIS SERIES OF STEPS CAN FIX MANY PROBLEMS
Good luck.
James.

Purchased EasyShare M380. Software program failed to load & I do not know what to do first. Can I just follow the steps in the manual & be O.K. Please keep it simple, I am not a high tech person. I...

Go to the following Kodak site and download the latest EasyShare software to your PC.

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=130&CID=go&idhbx=easysharesw&pq-locale=en_GB&_requestid=4162

Install the software then reboot the PC. Once rebooted plug in your camera to your PC then switch on the camera. The Kodak EasyShare application will see you camera and then go though an initial setup for your specific camera. Just accept all the default options and then when this is finished the software will download all your camera contents to a folder on your PC. You then select SAVE and then you can wipe al the pictures from your camera and then unplug it and switch it off ready to take more pictures. Each time you plug in the camera to the PC in future the download sequence will automatically start for you. Read the help file with the application and you can do more things with it.

It is all very straightforward.

Restart the handheld to get into wireless configuration settings.

Connect it to your pc using active sync and check what files there are in the application>startup and also in windows>startup.

You should be able to find a file related to lawson app in one of them folders. Make a copy to your desktop and then delete it from the device. reboot it and your problem should be resolved.

If ater a reboot, the file has gone back to any of them two folder, then check for cpy files on the application folder too.
