Hdd not on boot list

Have you tried a cold start, unplug, remove battery, hold down on/off button for 10 seconds, replace battery, plug in try to start normally. If that fails open your laptop, remember to remove battery, and Re-Seat, remove and replace the HDD. If that fails take the HHD out and have it checked by a qualified Tech. You can get devices to connect your HHD to another computer via USB, mine is a ULTRA USB 2.0 to IDE/SATA Cable Adapter. Then you can verify if in is dead.

How to play games in ps2 with usb

- You need to have a software called USB Advance or USB Extreme(search the internet)
- Write this software using DVD Decrypter onto a blank CD-R.
- Insert the disc into the playstation 2.
- You should have a USB Pen drive ready, of capacity minimum 4 GB.
- Alongwith the USB Advance, you will get a software for your PC to convert the downloaded games into the games playable through USB.
- Open the software, browse for a game file, and convert it.
- Now insert the pen drive into your computer and copy the converted game files into the pen drive.
- Remove the pen drive from computer and insert it in your PS2.
- Boot your PS2 with the USB ADvance CD in it and now select the game and press the 'X' button to play!

Is the heatsink seated correctly? Sounds like the m/b thinks it is over heating. Try booting unbutu from a cd and see if it does the same thing....if it does it's hardware if not it's software.

Hi,

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

BIOS will not let me change boot sequence of hard drives. It lists both of them (one SATA and one IDE). Trying to recover info off IDE, primary OS is on SATA. How do I get BIOS to let me change sequence?

check the the jumper pins on the back of the HHD, SATA should be set to master & IDE to slave read the top of the HHD first coz some HHD's have master without slave presant.
boot up as normal then go into "computer" & get the data off the IDE drive.

My PC hard disk is always out of space why

Windows Xp itself requires 4-4.5GB plus any other applications softwares, basiclly you should have 6GB for all of the software before any other software.
for WIndows Vista that requirement is around 7GB.
you need to clear up the HHD via accessories>>system>>disk clear. select all of the item listed. defrag the HHD after cleaning.you may have to perform the defrag serval time before yu get to a reasonable area. ideally you should have 15% of free space on your HHD.
if yu can't create enough free sapce, tehn you should consider buying a larger HHD.

Duel boot system first xp then vista

Wow....

First I would check the BIOS settings. Make sure that the slave and master jumpers are correct on the drives.

Wouldn't it be easier to make one drive Windows XP on one drive while running Vista on the other?

It would make things easier to troubleshoot.

Toshiba Satellite A65-S126 Notebook will not boot

Locating the HHD in Toshiba will be the most difficult. They have put them in several different places in the machine over the years. First try any access panels on the machine (look for a small rectangle shaped panel aprox. 1x3, probably on the side), then check under the keyboard, on a couple of models they put them under the touch pad. It should be in a HHD caddy, that will slide out. The caddy will have at least one screw holding it and there will be two or four screws holding the HHD in the caddy. Also check to see if there is a connector on the end of the HHD, you'll need that. Once you've found it, put the new HHD back in the same as the old one and you there.
