How do I unlock my Sanya Katana II cell phone bought in U.S.?

Contact Sprint and tell them you are going overseas and wish to use a local SIM card. They will provide you with the code and instructions. As for risks, there really aren't any to speak of. The only risk is that if you insert the unlock code 5 or more times incorrectly, the phone will be permanently locked to Sprint.

Weak roaming signal with Sprint Katana 2 cellphone

Call sprint and ask them to flag you for a PRL update. Then dial *2 and it will automatically update.

I checked in the Katana II menu and there is no option to update the PRL

Katana II on Embarq network want to use it on Sprint. Help Unlock Please

Most likely, you will have to purchase an unlock code from another website that is specific to your phone. There is no guarantee though that there is a code for it. You will also need a valid Sprint SIM Card. Please be aware though, if you do manage to unlock your phone, not all of the features may work. Features that are specific to the Embraq network will not work after the unlock. And you will not gain features specific to Sprint due to it not being an original Sprint phone. As long as you are ok with that then go for it. Look for the best price though. They vary from website to website.

Cell phone quit vibrating

No its not normal and yes it can be fixed thou if you dont have insurance and its not a known defect (likely) you are probably better off taking it to a Sprint store and asking them to upgrade or buy a refurb. on the net.
