Tektronix Phaser 560 error 33 / transferkit error

4 some days my printer shows the message above. I found in the net a solution to clean a clutch on http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/?search=forums&q=Tektronix+Phaser+560+and+740 but - unfortunately this does not help.
The paper comes out only a quarter of the sheet and there is only printed some lines on the top and the message occur. Sometimes the paper comes out completely but also with few lines printed, few seconds later the message -> error 33 transferkit error is on the display.
I have removed the transferkit and the whole machine is clean. In the mechanic there is no hard point whenn moving manually, too.
All serviceable parts are in their normal lifetime.
The machine does always a goot job and the counter is about 60k pages. I do not want to replace the machine........ - especially there are mostly new cartridges in!
Please give me a hint...............

Fault 07,005.47 is a failure of the drum maintenance system. Having the printer repaired by a certified technician is strongly recommended because the printer's covers will have to be removed, and the printer partially disassembled.

hi,
the paper jamming problem is generic to most printer models of this capability. one way to circumvent this is to use a multimedia-tray while printing.

the reason is probably the two springs that hold down a silver metal pressure roller in the feeding unit. The tension is uneven due to old springs and the paper pulls crooked. If you follow the paper path in the fedder mechanism, you will see the roller I am referring to. The springs are at either end of this bar.
If you are good mechanically, you can replace the springs yourself, although they are a ***** to get back on (some disassembly required).
try this for details on doing it.
cheers

Hi I have a TEK Phaser 560 Printer that displays Error 32-"Imaging unit error" after PC sends print command and 560 tries to start printing. I had problems to pull out the Imaging unit as well, because the...

There's a solenoid under the control board that actuates a stop for the cleaning blade shaft. The open cell foam the factory used to quiet the noise deteriorates with time leaving a sticky residue from the double sided tape.
Pick all the residue off and clean both the solenoid shaft and the metal plate. If you're concerned about noise, put some electrician's tape on the plate. But you might be going in for that falling off down the road. :p

Tektronix 540 error 32

Error 32 is most often caused by the cleaning blade clutch grease gumming up. Clean it completely with isopropyl alcohol and a lint free cloth and cotton buds. Re lubricate it with high temperature auto synthetic grease - make sure it has no mineral content.

Check for broken Maintenance Drawer Guides, or the Printhead Cap/Wipe/Purge assembly is defective. (If it is for a Phaser 840)

I have a Tektronix Phaser 540 with an error code 32 when I powered it up. Can you tell me what this means?

This is from the 560 manual hope the codes are the same. The 560 manual states : Accumulator belt cleaning blade movement error.

1. inspect the cleaning blade{located on the imaging unit, along the bottom of the green OPC belt. Is it flipped up? If you cannot flip it down, replace the imaging unit.
2. Inspect the wiring harness leading from the cleaning board to CN18 of the engine control board.
3. Replace the cleaning board.
4. Replace the engine control board.

If the above info does not match your model call :

(800) 833-9200 Press 3
(503) 627-2400

Phaser 740 Printing Cyan only

The problem is usually caused by a faulty imaging device, specifically a bad cleaning blade.
Occasionally this error can also be caused by a sticking cleaning blade clutch.

In this case the grease that was used to lubricate the part becomes gummed up and the moving parts begin to stick and don't move freely as they are supposed to. This is especially common on these printers if they are not used heavily or have sat for long periods between uses.

Sometimes you can free up this gummed up grease by running the solenoid diagnostics several times over. You do this by turning off the printer and then powering up while holding buttons 1 and 3 on the front panel display. Button 1 is the exit button.

This will put your printer into service diagnostics mode. Page through the diagnostics menus until you come to the clutches and solenoids menu. Here you need to hit the start button, then scroll through till you see the test for the cleaning blade. Press start to run the test.

Let this test run for about an hour then hit the stop button and turn off and restart your printer.
If your printer is printing normally again then the sticky clutch is your problem and you will eventually need to remove it and clean off the old grease and relube it. I recommend a high quality lithium grease.

If your printer does not print correctly again after doing this test, then chances are that your cleaning blade on your imaging unit is bad and the imaging unit will need to be replaced. You can generally find them on ebay for a reasonable price.

This problem applies to both the phaser 560 and 740 models. The imaging units on both these printers are also interchangeable. So if you have a phaser 560 you can use an imaging device from a 740 and vice versa.

Solution --> ERROR 0082" name="Note" /> Phaser 790 / DocuColor 2006 Printer's: Cancel print job and cycle the printer's power

  • On the printer's Control Panel, press the Cancel Key (12 KB).
Note: The READY message may only appear briefly. You may need to keep repeatedly pushing the CANCEL key.
  • If the error message persists, turn the printer off for at least 30 seconds and remove the computer interface to the printer (17 KB) before turning the printer back on.
  • Use the menu keys to perform a front panel reset (under RESETS menu).
  • If the printer redisplays the error message upon reboot, a file is likely STUCK at the front of the print queue. Use the front panel RESETS menu to CLEAR LOGS AND QUEUES, which will delete all print jobs in the printer's disk spool.
Note: The READY message may only appear briefly. You may need to keep repeatedly pushing the MENU key to gain access to the front panel menu.
  • If the front panel menus can not be accessed turn the printer off for 30 seconds and then turn the printer back on.
  • If it is known which print job was last sent to the printer, try to reprint the last job spooled, which may be the cause of the error. Step 4 on clearing logs and queues may need to be repeated to eliminate the crashing job.
Note: Most XX82 or XX1E front panel error messages are NOT hardware related, but caused by a specific print job or application.

Phaser 860 error code 07.003.45:116163

It is a print head tilt error.
Most likely ink is in the stainless steel pivot block at the bottom of the print head.
Also the printer could have been unplugged and the cleaning blade is stuck to the print head.
Or a cable is binding the print head movement.
