Question about Sharp AR-M237 Copier
I’m a student at a small university in the middle of no where. The drum on our Sharp AR-M237 needs replaced and there aren’t any companies that will work on it. The only one is Xerox, and they refused because it is not their brand. I am pretty handy with fixing things so I got nominated. I am sure I can “figure it out” but I would rather do it right the first time and avoid getting straight F’s for breaking our only copier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, is it sometime possible to just clean the drum vs. replacement? If so, what is the best way to do this?
Thank you very much!
Hi, i assume you have a drum to replace it with?. Can't really clean them as they are very sensitive. Why does it need changing, your copy quality is effected?. It is a faily straight forward procedure.

I am also changing a drum and after I changed the drum the copies began to get lighter and lighter, why is this? Also does direct light affect the drum during the installation process? I followed the instructions why would my copies be so light I can't read them?

Its better to replace the drum to obtain the good quality copy of your copier.the first thing to do is open the front cover.then pull out the toner/developer unit.and after that you can now remove the drum unit.To instal the brandnew drum unit just follow the instraction in the manuals.ok
