I got it when it was thunder when a flash hitted our house or something. My power connector was unplugged but the internetwire was plugged in the Xbox 360. So probably it´s a Network card wrong...

Im going to call my shop tomorrow and hopeful i´m going to get a new one on warranty :)

The shop i bought my 360 in is going to send my 360 to Microsoft. He said that it´s when a lightning hits your house and when in hits your house, the network chip is getting overloaded with power and gets broken.

If you got the code E76, the best is to send it to microsoft

  • lutt95 Jul 27, 2009

    Send it to microsoft.

It´s probably that a lightning hitted your house when it was thunder. System error E76 is a network chip error.

E76 is a network error code. NOT related to overheating. The "network card" is/has failing/failed

We got the E 76 error after a thunderstorm as well! Lightning no doubt was the cause. Right when the a huge lighting bolt flashes, the console froze. And when restarted, it gave the E 76 error. But the console runs as normal after like 5 restarts, it just says, does not recognize your network hardware and won't connect online.

E76 is actually been reported as a problem with the ethernet chip. I'm afraid I dont know how to fix it

Error 76 is not yet know but it could be and overheating fault.

Go to the xbox 360 support site https://service.xbox.com/default.aspx

see if its still in warrenty, a batch of seriels numbers have been granted an extended 3 year warrenty.
good luck!

This is E series error! which occure to most consoles after 10 - 12 months of use! sometimes before!
There is a DIY guide available in the market, which has proven to work for 99% of problems?I run a repair shop and fix 2-5 consoles on daily average basis.

I have taken my xbox 360 apart, cleaned it, put new thermal coating on it, checked all the componets on the motherborde to make sure that they won't lose, and put it in a place with good air flow but the 2...

2 red lights meaning the chips are overheating. This could be the heatsink does not have a good contact with the chip. Don't put too much thermal paste. just a very thin layer.

Xbox not working showing error code e73 whats wrong with it?

The E73 error is caused by the scaler chip at the back of the console taking too much heat. To fix it you need to stop the heat build up.

You can do this yourself using a good guide that will show you how to fix it with household items or you can send it in and they will fix it for you.

Black screen with white dots moving around everywhere

It is possible to open your Xbox 360 and fix the problem, which isn't recommended, but there are many tutorials, but if it is not 3 red lights then you don't have the Red Ring of Death. If the whole ring around the Xbox 360 is red then this means that either the Audio-Video cable is not connected properly, or the Xbox 360 is not detecting it. You can try cleaning the AV cable or you could try buying a new AV cable. The easiest way to decide on what you should do is go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/906652
That is the specific page for your problem and should give you a solution, and if it does not, then you should be able to contact Microsoft, and if it is still under manufacturer's warranty, then they should be able to fix it for free.
I hope I helped! ~Flascher

Xbox 360 doesn't read the T.V

It sound like E74 Hana chip error very common, you could try fix it yourself, there are tutorials on the internet to fix the problem but you'll have to open your xbox and that would void the warranty.
the xbox sometimes doesn't show the red lights because the chip is not totally fried, so with the proper handle you could fix it.
If you do want to fix it by yourself here is a link showing how to do that.

Red lights keep showing on xbox 360

How many red lights show up. When this happens, does your XBOX freeze up? Are they flashing? Do you have anything stacked on toip of the console? IS it vertical or horizontal? Let us know and maybe we can help you.
Thanks,

you flushed it wrong, they told that if you replace your dvd drive without or wrong flush the system, the system will no longer accept that dvd drive. Unfortunately I dont know how to flush the xbox. You need to look for website that teach or know how to flush the xbox before you connect your new dvd drive.
