Ge Ice Maker Gs25sgmcbs

I recently started having a problem with my freezer and icemaker. I noticed a lot of frost in the freezer and my ice was frosted and was stuck together and water would not dispense from the door. I defrosted the freezer. The water started working again, the ice maker made ice, but it would not dispense throught the door. A few days later, the water from the door stopped working and the ice seemed frosted again. When I take the ice bucket out of the freezer, the metal claw turns, but when I put the ice-bucket back in it appears that the auger does not turn.

What is causing the frost? What parts do I need to order to repair the ice dispenser? Help!

Hello!
There is a problem in the water dispenser outlet of the freezer, in this case i will suggest call service tech of the freezer and the ice maker so that the system will be personally diagnosed thoroughly to resolved the existing problems.

Service center in your area maybe available and not then the vendor is the right person to contact.

No,what it appears to be isthe evaporator is freezing over and hindering air flow. The water under the ice maker is actually condensation because the ice maker is colder than the cabinet temp. The unit should have an automatic defrost so it appears it is cycleling through yhe defrost. Unless you call out a tech to set the defrost timer, all you can do is unplug it and defrost in its own. Was the door ajar for any period of time? not completely closed? That will also do it because of humidity. The moisture in the air will freeze. The refrigerator side cools from bleed over from the freezer.

Ice cubes made by ice maker become large fused chunks over time.

Ice cubes will deteriorate over time if not used. They shrink due to defrosting of the freezer and will become stale.
Once the ice bin is full, turn the ice maker off until you use the cubes and or dump the cubes every 3 or 4 days and start over.

Icemaker seems to partially melt ice while it is being stored

The number one cause of this is the door is not sealing correctly. Check that the door closes and seals as it should.

GE TFX22CR Ice Piling up in Back of Freezer

You either have icing that you didn't clear or the unit is low on gas.  You might also try cleaning the condenser coils.  This is a big problem in cooling.
To check low gas:  After cleaning the condenser (!), clean around the piping to the compressor in the back of the unit.  Wait at least an hour with the unit shut off.  Restart.  The larger pipe should begin to frost up.  If after about 15 minutes the frosting gives way to: ice, wetness or drying out...the gas level is likely okay.  If it stays frosted, you'll need a gas recharge.

Layer of frost on the bottom surface of ice maker

during periods of high humidity and or high use, it is not unusual to notice frost on surfaces in the freezer. the ICM is susceptible due to it being metal and having warm(compared to freezer temp) water in it. make sure the doors ar closed tight and nothing is stuck in the gasket area.

Sounds like the icemaker mold is leaking so the whole icemaker should be replaced.  Leaking water will get on the icemaker heater and cause condensation which then freezes and makes frost.
