If you have Verizon you can just log into your verizon, com account and see all your text messages. Also, if you have not done so already go to>>text message icon>tap text message icon>go to top right where you see 3 small squares in a line>tap it>select settings>select message limit>scroll and select the number of messages you want to keep on your phone>once completed tap the set button > make sure you check off the auto retrieve box, too hope this helps
Perhaps the square block you are speaking of is the envelope icon, and the "wheel" is a disc? This indicates that the phone is retrieving an MMS message, which means someone has texted you a picture or a sound and it's downloading it so you can open it. Hope this answers your question :)
Check in your sent folder and look at the envelope next to the message. Each envelope has a check box at the top right corner.
<>If the person you are sending the message to also has Verizon: -If it was received by the other person, the box will be checked. -If it has an arrow next to it, it's still in the process of being sent; possibly because the intended recipient is out of service. -If you click on the sent message and scroll down to the bottom, it will tell you what time the other person received it at.
<>If the person doesn't have Verizon, all the messages you send (regardless of whether or not they were delivered) will have an arrow in the box and it will not tell you what time the person received the message at.
Sometimes, a message will have an I in the box. I think it stands for Incomplete; this only happens to me when I send a message to more than one person and the message doesn't get delivered for some reason.
On the Personalization screen, press Home screen. On this screen, make
sure that "Active" is enabled. Then press Mode settings, then Home
screen applications, then Enabled applications. On that screen, you
will see a list with squares some of which are ticked and others not.
The ticked items appear on your active home screen. Scroll through the
list and tick the Message notification box. Hope this helps!
