Try to reinstall the SAME version as what you used before. It should overwrite the old files and replace all tools.

Or You can try changing the folder where it is installing; for example the default folder may be C:\Program Files\Adobe... Change this to C:\Accessories\Adobe then click to install.

Ensure that you only have one version of Adobe Acrobat installed. I've found that often enough, if Reader and the full version of Acrobat are installed at the same time, it can cause problems like these.

If that is the case, try uninstalling Reader, so that only Acrobat Standard remains.

Aobe won't let me use user guide

What version is the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer? If it is version 9 and you are trying to see the user guide from within a browser window (like Internet Explorer), you will have problems because of a known issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader 9. If the above is true, you will need to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 and install Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.1.3
(Click Here) to download for version 8.1.3. If you are unsure how th uninstall version 9 and install version 8.1.3, please post a response to this an I will give you details based on your operating system.

Make sure you have unistalled any previous versions of Acrobat reader first. reboot after uninstall. then install Acrobat 9. Also disable all antivirus application services before you install.

Mouse won't right or double click after Adobe Acrobat Standard 9

it may have just changed your pointing devices
in control panel find pointing or mouse devices open it and in there
you should find where you can check the settings for mouse or change them.
If all settings are intact I would uninstall the adobe and install a previous version
let me know if this helps

The reason why it will not uninstall is because it is not in there try to reinstall it by going to the Adobe page here: http://www.adobe.com and download the latest if you are still having problems it will be your installer youll need to fix that.
