This question needs elaboration in order to get the desired answer. We don't know if the alarm was set on PC, Laptop, Mac, Chrome book, iPhone or Android Pjone. I will still try as little/much as I can. I want to assume you're taking about phone here. I encountered the same problem on my Android phone sometime ago. I always saw "missed alarm" at the end. The problem wasn't the phone but me. I didn't remember that alarm has different volume setting just as media and notification have their differnt volume sittings. I didn't realise that alarm volume was set to zero while media and notification volumes were at normal level. This may be your case also. Just go back to your phone settings and verify the alarm volume level. Good Lick.
Usually this depends on the mobile device you use. Some mobile devices are not set to remind automatically while others have that function. Simply go to the reminder service on your device and set the option for birthday reminder on your device once you set this it should work. Hope this solution has been helpful?
if you tries to turn it off and it turns back on after a few seconds.the birthda reminder in a contact record that spans past the new year (jan1)will trigger this.palm is aware of this paricular issue which is peculiar with the devices tungsten T3,T5*,E*,Ttreo 650* etc
for example if you create a contact record for a person which includes his/her name, phone number, adress and email adress.you also include his birthday, jan 2. you then choose the reminder to appear 7days before his birthday since this reminder will be triggered before january 1,the hand held may encounter problem not turning off. solution
set the calendar to go off in the same calender year as the birth day(i.e on or after jan1)
in the example above changing the reminder to 1 day will prevent the issue
to change birthday reminder:open contact applicatio>open the record with the birhday>select edit>scroll to the birthday field> tap on the birthday>change the reminder.
like in the example above ,you change the number of days to 1
alternatively simply uncheck the birthday reminder box in order not to be reminded at all instead of changing the days if you dont want to be reminided at all.
Try using Datebook, it isn't exactly an alarm but you can program reminders and apply them daily, work days, multimple days (allowing you to choose which days you want to be reminded), weekly, day per month, or even yearly.
Even though the phones profile is not set to silent. the volume on the standard profile could be switched off ! go into the profile settings to check that the volume for your current profile is switched on and up. if the problem persists, seek help from Sony Ericsson And/or your Mobile Phone Carrier
