Question about Samsung X480 Cellular Phone
Though battery is fully charged the phone does not detect network. Off and on for quite some time this problem appeared but now it has become permanent.

Sounds like a "filter capacitor" in your power supply. This is probably the largest capacitor on the main board and should be near where the power cord enters into the tv. A capacitor is round and tall, sort of like a miniature cattle farmers grain bin. Take it out and order a new one. You will need to write down two things: the voltage rating and the number of microfarads denoted by the symbol "u". For example, a "2500u at 250 volts. It will have two pins soldered into the board.
