I am having url 192.168.1.1 and other combos fail for Linksys wrt54gs. I am online with the Linksys but want to access and have a secure line rather than unsecured line. It is connected to our desktop (uses TV cable not DSL) with an InnoMedia MTA 6328-2Re. Can you tell me how to get to my Linksys url?

To access the router setup, open an IE browser, on the address line: http://192.168.1.1 then press enter, you should be prompted for a username and password, leave the username blank, password is: admin, this should give you access to the router.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linksys_WRT54G_series#Default_settings
if for some reason that doesn't work, start, run, cmd, enter, this will open a command window and type the command IPCONFIG /ALL look up the default Gateway IP address and see if it is different. If the gateway is a different IP address, try that IP address

Good day,

You can use your Wireless Connection by enabling it in your router.
You can access your Linksys router by logging in to its webpage. Look at your routers manual for its default configuration in accessing your router. Most router use http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1

Username:
Password:

Should appear in your browser refer to your manuals deafault Username and Password most Linksys routers use:

username:admin
password:admin

you can enable your wireless connections in wireless settings page and don't forget to put password for your wifi for security, you can use WEP, WPA etc. so that no one can steal your internet through your wireless connection.

I have a problem it's so medium , but i can't do it....bcz my linksys wrt54gs router are work but i can't block websites using this what solution to solve this...???

Are you able to access the admin board of your router ban sites based on the IP address? If this is uncomfortable for you, another option would be to block sites from the "security" tab of your Internet Options. You can access these options from your control panel or from your tool bar in your browser window. Just use the "restrict" option and add the url of the site you wish to block.
Hope that helped.

Cannot get a second computer on my secure wireless network

Have you set the properties on the second computer to match the security expected by the router? Since one computer works I would compare the settings for the network connection and set the second computer to the same.

Linksysfix.com/ela does not exist??

if you already have a wireless setup the latop (if it has wireless) will pick up the wireless router (if security on the wireless network, just type in the security password). Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser to access the routers configuration page.
