It depends where you are. If you are in a place with public wi-fi. You will need to learn the name of it. Then go to the light grey pie slice on the top right of your screen (to the left of the speaker icon) and scroll down. Make sure that Airport is turned off and scroll down to that wi-fi name and select it. If it has no password the grey pie icon should turn black. If it has a password, then you will need to put it in to make the wifi work. Again if you are in someone's house or school with wi-fi the same applies, you need to learn their name of it, go to that pie slice at the top (which will be light grey) scroll down. When you select the correct name the light grey pie icon will turn black. That means you have the internet connected!! In your own home or apt. unless your internet provider (cable or dsl) gives you a router, you probably will need a router (I use an airport extreme or express (router) with my mac) to be wireless. Then you will need to use the MAC airport utility to set that up. If you do not have it you will need to download it.
