Hello!

How old is the TV?, If it is a year then maybe you can get warranty for repair or replacement. In this contact your dealer.

If it is no warranty at all, maybe you can fix the tv but it is at your burden to fix it by yourself. You can open the TV back cover and test one by one each parts that is suspected got errors. on the other hand you should do continuity test to identify error on the parts. How ever if affraid to do so, then you can let the repairman do it for you. or call the service center of your TV in your area.

Maybe this will cost you cheap in repairing this unit.

hope this help!

Keep in mind the original 37hvs didn't have optical audio out. just pretend like it's not there.

also, there really won't be any more support for the current gen tvs. they way they are now is the way they will be. all focus is on the new lines coming out, and they are much improved.

Element 32 inchTV want turn on. When hitting the power button it turns on for a quick second display the digital tv words and click back off.

This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly.

Once you repair the power supply then you may need to replace other components if needed!

How do I program the tv to use without cable?

Hi,

1.Power on the television and press the "Menu" button on the Olevia TV's remote control.
2 Choose the "Programming" option to view all of the Olevia setup options.
3 Choose the "Channel Program" option, then select either "Antenna" or "Cable" (select "Cable" when using a satellite receiver).
4 Select "Start" and the Oleiva TV scans over all the stations it receives. Once complete, is stores the information into its memory bank, so when you attempt to change the television station you only see programs that come in clear onto the TV.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Olevia 747i won't turn on, no blue led light? Help!

I would start with the power supply. Possibly a fuse. 9 times out of ten though if a fuse goes, something inside the set is causing the fuse to blow.

ok First question does the led continue to blink after 70 seconds after u plug it in. it is common for a cuircit board called the dm(digital module) to go bad in these units. this set has a keyboard lockout feature. Press menu for 10 seconds on front panel. if that does not release control then u more than likely have a problem with dm module. there are several bullitens about this and several things a tech can do to repair this set

Try a new Remote control, and if that doesn't fix the problem, it may be a remote sensor in the set. Hope this helps. Have a great weekend
