Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Moto Razr V3 + H500 bt 'unable to connect'


I'm stumped, hence I'm here - I unlocked my phone about 7months ago from cingular/att - today I decided to see if there was a software update available for it, using the Motorola Software Update program.

After updating, I can no longer use my Motorola H500 bluetooth headset with the phone.

It will look for a device, find the h500, prompt for the pin, verify and save the pin, then it hangs on 'Seeking Motorola H500'

It never moves on from this screen - the H500 itself blinks as if it's paired, but no sound is communicated from the phone to the headset, and pushing the multifunction button does nothing to the phone.

Closing the phone clears the screen, but also removes the BT icon, and the BT indicator lights then goes dark.

Turning the earpiece off and then on, causes the phone to re-light the indicator, and it flashes every few seconds like nothings wrong, and the icon is back on the screen, but still no sound is communicated and pushing the multifunction does nothing.

Both the phone and the headset can be individually connected to my desktop and used properly, but they won't talk to eachother.

I tried changing the connection to the headset from 'automatic' to 'always ask', that's when I got the 'unable to connect' msg when trying to re-pair the two, but all other times it just hangs while 'seeking motorola h500'

It almost seems like the phone is attempting to use the headset with a different service.

Also, when pairing, after I've entered 0000 into the phone, I hear a beep in the headset just when the phone hangs 'seeking motorola h500'

Any help?

The 2 devices work separately, and have worked before, but not now - very frustrating.

    Well, after about a week and 15 power cycles, it started working again - but it really doesn't matter anymore, cause I gots me a Moto Q9h!!

Have the firmware downgraded on the phone and that should fix the phone.

The way yo can tell if it's unlocked it's by installing two different types of SIM cards, let's say one from Cingular/ATT and then one for T-Mobile, if they both work...then it's unlocked. They might have not unlocked it properly. Let me know I can try to help
