Door handle coming off

My sidebyside is barely a year old and is only being used by one person. The door handle on the refigerator side is coming off at the top. I can see the two screws but have no idea what to do to re-tighten them. Someone said to remove the inside of the door, but I don't know how to do that either. The bottom of the handle is now beginning to loosen, too. I'm opening it by using the top of the door, but I'm afraid one of my grandchildren may visit and use the handle, pulling it the rest of the way off. I don't think this is covered by the warranty because the refrigerator was delivered (but not used) a year ago last month. What do I do? GE ZFSB27DAG SS

Hi you could do the easy fix and use something like no more nails this is usually strong enough to hold handles on and alot of people do use it for these sort of jobs but if you need to tighten up the handle thats allready on then it will need you to undo the inside of door to get to the screws.

Now you just need to buy another handle because the first one is not fixed well, it doen't cost a lot, but when you buy the handle you get free maintenance.

The water line could be frozen. Remove the water filter and see if it frozen. Also, see if the water dispenser works with the filter removed.

My two year old admiral refigerator has air entering freezer part

lube the hinge side, sealing face of gaskets with vasoline. Heat gaskets with hair dryer then tape doors shut when hot. wait an hour before removing tape. do this on both doors.

Hotpoint side by side no dispensor door handle loose

Removing the door gasket would probably reveal screws to separate both shells of the door - warning: door gaskets are expensive and may be hard to find on a fridge that old, so be gentle with it.

Loose door handles.

There was a plastic card the size of a credit card that came with the refigerator that helps release the handles. If you don have this you can use any stiff plastic card ie: blockbuster card, store card etc...

Pull the handle away from you while inserting the card in the top or bottom of the handle based on your model. I believe the Admiral model LSD2615HEB required the card be inserted 11/16 of an inch. This should release the handle. Once released there are 4 hex screws located on the handle that may require tightening.

To reinstall: Match the hardware up just above the final location and then slide down, this should lock the handle back into place.
