Compaq 2500 will not come on . .

when u say nothing works u mean no lights no sounds you cant hear fan or hard drive starting up.if so power connection on pc that the power chord connects to is internally damaged.Need to disassemble and check.if you try putting power end into socket and see if its loose Its a good sign this this is your culprit and not too difficult to repair.if it isnt that check the dc converter ,if ok the mother board is damaged
