Question about Hitachi 43FDX20B 43" Rear Projection Television
A little background to the issue I have. I bought my Hitachi 42" projection back in 02' and it has worked great until today. I turned it on this morning and noticed that the picture has only pink and green colors with a little bit of a double image on certain channels. I've heard that this could be one of the circuit boards inside and perhaps the convergence circuit is bad. Is this the case? If so, I would like to repair the board myself, but don't know which convergence IC's and/or components to change on the board. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Convergence IC's are at locations IK04 and IK05. There are some resistors that will be burnt up on the board as well. Replacement IC's are stk392-150, and are easily purchased, even off ebay. For the resistors you may have to get the location numbers and research the value. If you need the resistor values you can email me and I will get you the info.
