When I try to print my photos on my Lexmark x5150 All-in-one, the color print does not match the actual photos. ALL photos print out very dark. I have tried different paper, cleaned the print nozzles, changed the cartridges, adjusted the print quality... Ideas?

Sometimes ,poor print quality may be due to ink build up in the maintenance station ..
Your ink cartridges stay in the maintenance station when not in use. Depending on the printer model, the maintenance station may be located on the right or left side of the printer. NOTE: You do not need to remove the cover in order to access the maintenance station.
To access the wiper for cleaning purposes: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Move the ink cartridge carrier to the left by gripping the top of the rubber carrier belt and gently pulling it across towards the right-hand side of the printer. Take a warm, damp paper towel or napkin and gently clean the wiper on the right-hand side of the maintenance station.

Try to see how you can restore the settings to default. There may be a setting to don't print text somewhere that got marked accidentally. Check your document type in the settings, it may be set to "picture" instead of mixed type document (I don't know what the setting is called, just that it's there) Also press the stop / clear button after printing an image to return to default settings
The 0502 error can have any of four possible causes: - A faulty black/photo cartridge - A faulty color photo cartridge - A dirty encoder strip - The encoder strip being out of position .... most of the time, it's the encoder strip that is giving the problem.. goto http://support.lexmark.com/index?userlocale=EN_US&locale=EN&page=content&segment=SUPPORT&productCode=LEXMARK_X5150&id=HO2707
The only thing that I can think of is if you have not used that color ink cartridge for awhile it may have dried up. I had this happen to me on my printer. You could try taking out the ink cartridge and taking a damp papertowel and wipe down the nozzles. Also check and see if the contacts where the ink cartridge comes in contact with harness are gummed up with old ink. If this helps plese rate. Thanks.
In this case what i would Request u to do is.........
Goto Control Panel goto Printers folder.........
There u will see the Lexmark Printer Icon...........
Just right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties.........
Now click on Advanced and goto Print Processor.........
Change it to Lexmark X1100 and NTEMF 1.0008........
Click on Apply click Ok now try to Print..........
Prints Fine............Issue Resolved........
Just fixed it thanks to Lloyd at Lexmark.com Go to Technical Support > LIVE CHAT. To print envelopes all I needed was to check the print in "Black" only button. Under Quality make sure the Print Color images in Black box is checked, select Apply and OK.
