The smoke is drawn into the unit by the evaporator fan motor, & as the smoke travel through the filter & evaporator coil it leaves a sticky light brown residue, which causes filter & coil to get dirty quickly along with leaving a unpleasant smell.

Why is my air conditioner blowing white smoke?

Smoke or frost? More than likely frost make sure the air filter is clean and evaporator coil is clean this is a sign of low air flow across evap coil or turn fan speed up.

Odorless smoke coming out of my amana air conditioner is the problem odorless smoke coming out of my air conditioner wath is the problem?

That's a cool mist, like a fog. It's not smoke and occurs when the outside humidity is extremely high.
Be sure the air intake filter is clean and if it continues for a long time, raise the temperature setting of the AC a couple of degrees and allow it to run, until the mist clears. It harmless, so don't worry about it.

Whirlpool air conditioner blows out smoke it still blows out cool air but after awhile I see light smoke coming from the vents. Any suggestions?

Fortunately, that's not smoke. It's a cool mist or fog, that is caused by high outside humidity and the coldness of the cooling coils. Generally, it's nothing to be concerned about. Just be sure that you keep the air intake filter clean and the the drain hole in the drain pan is not clogged.

I hope this was of help to you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

An ozone smell from the furnace set off our smoke alarms, No visible smoke. Model UBHC21J18....

The smoke detectors may be clogged with dust and lint. Remove the covers and spray with compressed canned air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with) to clean them. Hold the compressed air can as upright as possible when using it. Smoke Detectors should be cleaned at least once a year.

Please let me know if this solves the problem.

Smokeing when refueling

This is a very interesting question ... Your category is Air Conditioners ... your problem is smoking while refueling. Everyone knows there is no smoking while refueling ... you are suppose to fly the BRAVO flag during this operation ... so put out the butts, lift the flag, and get on with the refueling. Now, exactly what kind of fuel are you putting into your Air Conditioner to run it? It is not electric?

Air Conditioner Smoke

The smoke you are seeing is the cold air turning the hot humid air into a cool mist. This may happen when you first run the a/c to cool the room. Once the room is cooled down you should not see the mist any more.
