Question about RCA Scenium HD65W20 65" Rear Projection Television

Fuse locations for RCA Scenium HD65W20

I am trying to locate where the fuses are on the HD65W20. Can anyone help? My TV was working just fine, then there was a power alarm on the UPS it was connected too and everything powered off. Restored power to everything, but the TV won't power up. Plugged it in directly into an outlet, and still nothing. Can you help me locate where the fuses are ?

my friend it is the tv tunner that needs to be replace you will have to take your set to a repair shop for repairs.tv needs qualified tech to repair them.you might cause injury to your self.although you want to save money it is best to have a tech deal with your tv,than doing more damage to your tv and to yourself.it will cost you less on the longer run.good luck

If this is a DLP set, which I suspect it is....you need a new color wheel. Common problem for these sets. If you don't have an extended service plan, about a 300--400 fix, in home.

Pop and burning smell now no picture

If you're NOT still under warrantee you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. You can also check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. Brief power outages may cause the TV to turn off on its own. If you are using a surge protector, try connecting the set directly to the wall outlet. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint at the horizontal drive transformer. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace If this does not correct the problem, you may need to have your TV serviced. good luck!
