Hi hope to help you!
firstly see if the blade is going the correct way if so
you should replace the spindle shaft and also fit a now bolt only use makita parts though!!
the problem is the thread in the spindle and bolt are worn.
Hope that helps. Sean.

Macallister chop saw blade problem, the motor runs but when half way through cutting wood the blade stops ?

I'm not sure if you have a chop saw or circular saw. Either way, it sounds like the nut and washer are not tight enough to hold the blade. If you have a circular saw clockwise will tighten the nut and washer onto the blade and hold it in place. Most chop saws are a left hand thread and then you would turn the nut counter clockwise to hold the blade tighter. The blade wobbles because it is not tight.

Not sure what you mean - are you talking about the flywheel on the gas engine of a 14" saw?
There are no flywheels on a chop saw.

I have a Makita LS 1013 compound miter saw. The locking knob that locks the saw from sliding back and forth no longer works. I downloaded the owners manual and parts list but I can't seem to correctly...

check position 79 the spring that pushes against the table and also the end of the locking knob to make sure not rounded over/worn not applying pressure to the locking spring.

Hi, when I do this I insert a large screw driver into the blade saw to stop the blade turning, as you will need to turn the nut clockwise.

Blade acts unusual

Hi, Blade wobble at high speed can be very dangerous! The saw at the right ( wrong) wobble can destroy itself. There are a few things that can cause it, And you have to check them as best you can before you power it back up. Check the blade, you can lay two blades together and check for gaps anywhere. Check that the hub and spindle are flat where the blade goes. (No lock washers) Also check the spindle for side to side movement, there shouldn't be any. Turn the spindle by hand and see if you feel any grit or sandy type feeling, you shouldn't. Lastly, if you don't find anything, try a new blade of a different type, and if it wobbles again, check and see if you have any warranty left and even if you don't you should contact Makita about it.
About the best I can do from long distance. Let me know what you find, Please.

LS 1013 chopsaw

There should be two knobs on the saw where you adjust the miter of the saw. One of these knobs if turned clockwise tightens the swivel. I have the same saw except it is a 13 amp.
