Most likely doesn't have one, Many fax machines don't have them. Just the power cord for power on and off.

Yeah. A service rep can look pretty silly also. You are supposed to know these machines and you work on so many. You wind up standing there searching and searching.

I find it odd there is no power swiches myself.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Might be silly question but is it setup to auto transmit and receive? And have you tried to operate it manually? + take out the inline filter fax machines operate on volume'db' to soft and it can't hear, to loud and it can distort sound.

Leakage of ink on drum area

The first thing to do is make sure that you are inserting the drum correctly (it is silly that they still put them in awkward angles). The next is to check, and double check all rubber fittings on the drum and inside of the fax machine housing. After that you should grab a flashlight and check for loose or missing/broken parts. It is a little difficult to diagnose without a model number but I hope this helps.

My phone line is ok as i have sent and recived phone call using a plain ordinary telephone however i cant send or recive faxs. if anyone has any ideas i would be greatful

If your fax machine has a handset pick up the handset and see if you get "dial-tone" thro the handset of the Fax machine. If you don't then you may have lost the (NCU) pcb, You should always install a fax machine on a "surge-protector" to protect both the Hydro and the Fax line. **The silly thing to check is to make sure the fax line is being plugged into the "line" plug on the back of your machine.

Saying paper jammed ..but no paper is jammed????

The course of the problem could well be when you pulled the paper the wrong way out ot clear the jam. Open the machine and have a close look at the unerside of the flap. There should be a micro switch, which could well be desloged.

Doesn't receive from two fax numbers outside the UK

I would suggest there is nothing actually wrong with your machine, as you can indeed receive faxes from other parties. The problem mostly likely lies with the equipment and/or lines of the sending party. One thing you might suggest to them is to turn off ECM (Error Correction Mode) and/or lowering the sending/receiving speed of the machine - preferably the sending speed of the sending party.
