Feb 4, 2014 - MMS sending and receiving pictures no longer working on Nokia Lumia. up vote 2 down vote favorite. In early 2014 I installed "Update 3" (8.0.10517.150) and the "Lumia Black" software ... "Can't send message Try again".
When I was an AT&T customer I could receive texts and multi-media messages from virtually anyone EXCEPT those sent from an iPhone via Verizon - could very likely be a carrier issue and not you phone at all.
If you can not receive or send multimedia messages the first thing to check would be if your cell phone plan has that option enabled, if not I would contact you service provider and add that feature to your existing plan (which may cost extra per month).
If you know you have multimedia messaging as a feature then I would check the user manual for that phone and see if the phone itself is capable of receiving picture/video messages as some phones are not physically capable of receiving large amounts of data at a a time such as when receiving multimedia messages.
Here is a direct link to the user manual for the LG KP500: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.phonehouse.com%2Fcpw-sales%2Fstatic%2Fpdf%2FLG%2FLGKP500.pdf&rct=j&q=lg%20kp500%20manual&ei=hOdrTa-BBtPOgAff1pTLCg&usg=AFQjCNEDZlzBo23SUS3UbLk1OjNIr1lYmw&sig2=cfm3yFw4abD78AnRCLUlHA&cad=rja
