Okay.. according to
http://www.kodak.com/go/esswhelp

The pictures are protected from accidental deletion. And there is a difference between deleting/removing pictures from Albums and My Collection. If you just delete them from My Collection they are not deleted from your hard drive.

In order to delete them from hard drive AND from My collection, here's what that site recommends:

To permanently remove = 4 && typeof(BSPSPopupOnMouseOver) == 'function') BSPSPopupOnMouseOver(event);" onclick="BSSCPopup('Pop-up_picture_file_formats.htm');return false;" rel='nofollow' href="javascript:void(0);">pictures/videos from My Collection—and from your hard disk—= 4 && typeof(BSPSPopupOnMouseOver) == 'function') BSPSPopupOnMouseOver(event);" onclick="BSSCPopup('Pop-up_select_pictures.htm');return false;" rel='nofollow' href="javascript:void(0);">select them, then click the Delete icon.

Hope this helps.

So the pics are still on the computer and you want them off? Right click one of the pictures and check its properties. You should see where the picture is on the hard drive, ie. C:/programs/kodak/2006/birthday/009.jpg. Navigate to this directory and delete entire directory behind kodak. You may have the originals in one folder and the "fixed" photos in another. Picasa does this too. You can use XP and search for all pictures and look for the directories this way too, right click the pics and choose "open directory" or something like that and you should be able to see that directory, delete in same fashion.

If I am to understand you correctly you are telling me you are using Kodak software that was installed in a used computer that you bought. If this is the case then you need to uninstall this program and install the Kodak software that came with YOUR CAMERA. The program you are trying to use may not be compatible with your camera !

Kodak easy share wont delete or scan to the left to view pics

In order to solve the problem you need to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the SD card and thereafter you will be able to delete the pics in the internal memory.
How do I transfer pictures from the internal memory of my KODAK Digital Camera to a memory card? Answer :
Follow these steps:
  1. On the camera, press Review and then Menu.
  2. Select Image Storage.
  3. Change to Internal Memory.
  4. In the menu listing, scroll down to Copy, and select OK.
  5. Select a single picture, or select All.
  6. When you have finished copying pictures, reset the Image Storage location to your original setting.

My kodak easy share indoor pictures look fine when

Are the pics fine when printed?
If so I wouldn't worry about it since KODAK no longer repair this cam. model, but instead recommends an exchange.
You can get an exchange to a brad new model for the same money as a regular repair, but if you're happy w. your model then you might want to live w. a darker LCD. You can adjust the brightness of the LCD within Cam. Settings.

You probably can't turn it off. Download the pics from one of the cameras to a folder you create on your desktop and if the numbers are the same, simply rename them.

All the pictures in my kodak easy share program are coming up with a x in the thumbnail. How can i get the pictures back Thanks

Did you move the pics to another location on hard drive? The Easy Share program is just tool to view the pics that are stored on the hard drive. It uses "Albums" to view these pics. The Album is still there but it sounds like the pictures got moved.

Easy share software

I have not gotten it fixed, but I certainly do not to pay to have help as I believe this is an Easyshare problem and they should tell me for free what is wrong with the program. It did not do this in the past so it is something new!!

I do not know how your web site came up as I have always gotten right to Kodak before when things have gone awry.
