Re: no eject/reads hello thats all
Is there a small hole under the tray? Use a straightened paper clip and piu it in there and push, it should manually push the tray out. If there is anything on the DVD that looks like a computer program, the DVD may be trying to read it as a BIOS upgrade. The spindle motor may be bad too as the DVD is waiting for the platter to spin up to read it and is timing out.

If you can find a pinhole somewhere on the front underneath the cd tray.that usually is where you can push a fine needle or paper clip to manually open tray if there isn't one you should try turning off ignition and whilst holding the eject button turn ignition back on without releasing button.if that fails you will have to dismantle the cd unit from dash.the laser can get condensation in certain environments and fail to read or cancel.hope some this is of help.
turn on first the dvd player and wait to read a disc inside if no disc inside the tray it will say disc error. if the unit doesn't turn off, eject now the the cd tray. if get turn off, remove the cover then check for an stuck up gear or obstruction in the cd tray assembly. you can check also the power supply board which may have unusual parts like bulged or burnt component parts.
Disconnect power. Connect power back, and keep REPEATEDLY pressing the eject button while you connect. If still no ject press power on button while you keep hitting the ehect button. You need to press eject on the unit, do not use the remote.
If that does not work, then the unit must be taken apart.
Setting the disc ejection lock
You can lock the disc tray to prevent the disc form
When the main unit is turned off, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds
If you attempt to open the disc tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE key, the disc tray does not open and
“LOCKED” appears in the display window.
To cancel the disc ejection lock, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds again when the
main unit is turned off.
“UNLOCKED” is displayed in the display window.
Before the main unit is turned off, DVD/CD function
should be selected.
I had the same problem with my CMT-EP707. I read on this site to try various combinations of turning power off then turning the power back on while holding down either or both of the stop play button and the eject button for the affected CD tray. What seemed to work for me was turning on the power while holding down the eject button for CD tray 2, even though the error referred to CD tray 1.
