Canon Powershot A75 Flash Problem

When I take a picture using the flash, everything is yellow.

If the flash is off, the picture is fine.

Other than taking all my pictures outside with no flash, can this problem be corrected?

or is it time for a new camera?

Thanks.

Exact same problem just showed up for me as well. Going manual and adjusting WB doesn't help. If the flash is used, pics are green - worthless. No flash, everything's fine. Does the strobe weaken or "yellow" with age?

My gut says it's time for new camera.

All my flash photos are yellow. Awful. My camera is only 3 years old. Seems a little premature for a major issue.

Yes, I have the same problem. My camera is about 3 years old as well. Can the flash maybe need to be changed out. Is this even possible?

If it is a malfunctioning unit, you may qualify for an upgrade through Canon rather than going out and buying a new one, paying full price, you can get a deep discount through their loyalty program. Give them a call to set your camera up for service and the service technician once they have your camera will let you know if you qualify for the program and which camera you will qualify for and how much it will cost.

Hope this helps!

I just bought a secondhand Canon Powershot A3100 and it has bad scratches on the LCD screen. Will this affect the pictures I take?

Scratches on the LCD screen will not affect the performance and quality of your pictures that will be taken using this camera , so everything should be fine with it.

All pictures are very dark using my Canon Powershot

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Flash

On your camera, there should be a button with a lightning bolt with an arrow at the bottom. This is the flash control. Push it until the lightning bolt symbol on the screen is crossed out, this means the flash is turned off.

You can look at the manual here:

http://www.mediacollege.com/equipment/manual/canon/camera/powershot-a75.pdf

The flash instructions are on page 42 of the manual, which is page 44 of the PDF file.

My canon powershot A75 stopped displaying pictures (or taking them, it seems).  The flash goes off, the shutter is open, and the display shows.  Just no picture and no display.  Do I just buy a new one?

Its is failure of CCD Imager and CCD Imager part will be replaced in your Canon A75
Canon will repair it free of cost as per announced scheme for CCD Imager failure.

Canon A75 Power shot

Try formatting the card once and then check it again, the problem is due to the reason that your camera's Auto focus is not working swith it to Auto mode disable Macro and then take Photos when the Green box appears on the LCD.

Some cameras overcharge, then they blown the surcuit to flash. Sorry you must replace the small surcuit board between flash globe and mainboard.
