Hitachi 50"comes for about 10 seconds then cuts off.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

I need the code to get rid of the region code error on my RCA L26WD26D

I had exactly the same issue, and after a week of searching the web for the answer to this question. I posted a pdf of the page from the service manual that helped me fix the issue here: http://www.highdefjunkies.com/showthread.php/1817-The-Official-quot-Service-Menu-Access-Codes-Request-Thread-quot?p=353717#post353717

To fix mine, all i did was turn the volume on the tv to zero, then on the tv set itself, hold down the volume down button and on the remote control hold the number 4 button down both at the same time for 2 seconds. The screen will say "initialization of factory dvd data." and my dvd player started playing my dvd's no problem. I wasn't able to set the region code to a specific number like some people need, but maybe the answer to that question is some where else in the manual I posted above. I've spent too much time on this already :-D Hope this was a help and good luck!

The problem sounds like a problem with a power supply or a power chip. These can be a cheap fix if you can find a cheap TV repair man, but expect to pay hundreds at a TV repair shop.

Hello, I have an RCA Truflat tv that I bought

If you can hear sound and the sound coems from your TV, try changing the volume with teh TV remote control. Your TV isn't off it is still on. Just the video board or portion is cutting out. this could be a ton of things, I would try changing out the power strip or plugging the tv into the wall directly to make sure it has enough power. other then that you can try a home brew solution like putting a fan next to your tv to cool the component that seems to be overheating and shutting down your picture.

Yes ask you parents!

Call the distributor of the RCA and provide the model number and proof of age and they will help you reset it to factory settings
