Question about Dell OptiPlex GX260 PC Desktop
I can`t seem to get the sound to work on my Dell Dimension C521
Open the Control Panel.
Click on the "Hardware" tab.
Click on the "Device Manager" button.
In the device tree, expand "Sound, Video and Game controllers".
Look for your audio device. Right click and select "Properties".
In the box labeled "Device Status", does it say "This device is working properly", or does it say something else. There is a "Troubleshooter" button you can try if necessary.
If the above does not help, then right click on the audio device (still in the "device manager" tree) and select "Uninstall".
Reboot the machine. It should scan for new devices and attempt to install it automatically.
